Job Title: Research & Digital Media Intern

Meditation Wala is committed to promoting mindfulness and meditation practices within our community. Our mission is to share meditation and mindfulness practices for everyday life with local communities. Our focus is to advance the cause of mind/body spiritual healing, education, and research.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and passionate intern to join our team and assist us in furthering our mission. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the non-profit sector, develop your skills, and contribute to the growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of mindfulness and meditation programs and resources.
• Research and curate content related to mindfulness and meditation practices.
• Assist with social media with use of AI management and content creation to promote our organization and events.
• Help organize and facilitate virtual events, workshops, and webinars.
• Support administrative tasks such as data entry, email correspondence, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and execute new initiatives.
• Provide general support for ongoing projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Prefer high school junior, senior or college student.
• Interest in helping people, animals and planet. 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Proficient in using digital tools and social media platforms.
• Access to a reliable computer and internet connection.

Schedule and Duration:

This is a part-time, unpaid internship with flexible hours to accommodate your academic schedule and other commitments. The internship duration can be tailored to your needs and academic calendar.

Previous Intern Success:

Our previous interns have come from Doughtery Valley High School, and San Ramon Valley High School and have gone on to pursue their education at institutions such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz and other great universities. They found their internship experience with us to be valuable in developing skills and gaining insights into the non-profit sector.
